Tru Colors Contracting Works On Extensive Metal Refinishing Project In Palm Beach

Paint Is Imported From Poland Expressly For The Neoclassic Home Project

The island of Palm Beach, Florida is renowned for its impeccably manicured estates, as well as its historic landmarks, including the Flagler Museum, the Everglades Club, the Breakers Resort and Worth Avenue, where the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Bottega Veneta and Tory Burch all line the area. Above all, the island of Palm Beach is known for its real estate and the area has the distinction of being one of the richest zip codes in the United States.

Numerous multi-acre estates comprise the coveted island of Palm Beach. Many of the estate owners on the island make up the annual Forbes 400 List of the Wealthiest Americans in the nation. Tru Colors Contracting was recently commissioned to work on an extensive metal refinishing project at one of these homes on the Island.

The overall project involves refinishing all of the metal gates, doors, windows, planters and banisters throughout the exterior grounds of the Neoclassical inspired home. A special paint: APV Kynar Neverfade® is being used expressly for this project, noted Ray, Crew Leader, Tru Colors Contracting. We’re using approximately 50 gallons of the imported paint for this project, he added.

The Kynar  paint we’re using is of the highest quality and it is supposed to not discolor or fade for 15-years, commented Ray. What’s more certain steps have to be taken with the application, namely recording the outside weather and humidity, which play big factors with the application process. The outside temperature can only be between 80 to 105 degrees for the product to be applied properly, noted Ray.

The Palm Beach metal refinishing project is expected to take 3 to 4 for months from beginning to end due to the extensive scope of the project. There are five Tru Colors Contracting team members on hand, added Ray. The process involves first covering the glass and exposed stone surfaces. A salt primer is then applied to abrade down the metal. and is then sanded down. Once the exterior paint is abraded, a Kynar epoxy finish is then applied. The first Kynar coat is then sanded down, when it’s dry. Safeguards are taken to ensure that all of the salt has been removed. A final coat of Flora Polymer (Kynar) is then applied, noted Ray. Tru Colors Contracting also holds the distinction of being one of five paint contractors that is allowed to spray the Kynar paint product.
